Day 1: Arrival in Livingstone – Zambezi River Introduction

Arrival at Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport followed by transfer to your lodge along the Zambezi River. The river’s wide, slow-moving channels contrast with the powerful falls just downstream.

In the late afternoon, embark on a sunset cruise along the Zambezi. Elephants often approach the riverbanks, hippos surface between reed beds, and crocodiles bask along sandy edges. The golden light reflecting off the water provides a relaxed and scenic introduction.

Dinner is served overlooking the river as distant sounds of the falls echo through the night air.

Day 2: Guided Tour of Victoria Falls

After breakfast, enjoy a guided walking tour of Victoria Falls from the Zambian side. During peak water flow (typically March to June), mist rises dramatically above the gorge. In drier months, exposed rock formations reveal geological layers and allow clearer views into the chasm below.

Multiple viewpoints along the rainforest trail provide varied perspectives of the main falls, Knife-Edge Bridge, and Boiling Pot. Guides explain the geological formation of the gorge and the cultural history of the region.

The afternoon remains flexible for optional helicopter flights over the falls or leisure time at your lodge.

Day 3: Devil’s Pool or Gorge Adventure

Alternatively, guests may choose activities such as gorge swinging, zip-lining, or a scenic helicopter flight above the Batoka Gorge.

Day 4: Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park Safari & Rhino Tracking

Today focuses on wildlife within Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, located upstream from the falls. Though compact, the park supports white rhino, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, and antelope species.

A guided game drive or walking safari provides opportunities to track white rhino on foot with professional scouts. The walking experience offers an intimate wildlife encounter in a controlled setting.

Return to your lodge in the afternoon for leisure time along the river.

Day 5: Zambezi Canoeing or Island Picnic
